I recall eating my first churro during a county fair I went to. It was a long and sugary with a crispy outside and a bread textured middle. The amount sugar on that stick was a bit overwhelming but it tasted SO good because generally to me most things fried have to taste good. Back then, I was VERY curious how they made these things. But I never researched it until now.
I learned that you had to eat churros fresh when its nice and crisp, or they will turn soggy!
Instead of rolling in cinnamon-sugar, I dipped it in a mixture of spices like Old Bay, salt, and chili powder. It turned out real hot and spicy :)
